What You'll Do:

  • Build and Maintain Data Systems: Develop and maintain systematic reporting and dashboards to foster a self-service data culture, enabling teams to make data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct Deep Dives and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to understand feature/component performance and user behavior, evaluate AB tests, and extract actionable insights to inform product development.
  • Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and design teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive business growth.
  • Lead Experimentation and Research: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses, define success metrics, and evaluate impact, providing strategic direction to drive business outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an online product business.
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record of building analytics tools and generating insights that drive business growth, with experience working with large data sets and complex systems.
  • Start-up Experience: Experience working in a start-up environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid growth.
  • SQL and Python Experience: Strong experience with SQL and Python, with proficiency in data-related libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and experience with BI/reporting tools like Redash.
  • Business Acumen: A strong understanding of business operations, with experience working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
