Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to join our team at Teledyne. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain safety equipment inventory and perform periodic safety inspections
  • Monitor hazardous waste removal vendors and assist in consolidating hazardous wastes
  • Conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling
  • Monitor environmental compliance and maintain liaison with regulatory agencies
  • Recommend corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a four-year occupational safety degree
  • At least three to five years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Browz, ISNet World, Sphera, TAPPISafe, DISA safety programs
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics CRM
  • Ability to control and resolve high-pressure situations quickly and efficiently
