Position Overview

The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position involves performing intricate imaging and general radiology tasks while adhering to the highest standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive body imaging and diagnostic procedures utilizing MRI technology.
  • Assist in the calibration and quality control of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safely position and transfer patients, taking into account their physical needs and comfort.
  • Support Radiologists during complex procedures and provide necessary assistance.
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients and address any inquiries they may have.
  • Administer radiographic contrast as per physician requests and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare for IV insertion for scan procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Current CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
