Job Overview:

This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a long-term care facility, responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans aimed at improving residents' swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities.

The SLP will also work to reduce aspirations and enhance understanding and communication skills for patients. The role involves leading and guiding speech therapy and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities.
Help patients be better understood and improve their ability to understand others.
Lead and guide the delivery of speech-language pathology services in the facility.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as facility policies.

Requirements:

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience.
LTC or Rehab experience.

Certifications & Licenses:
CPR certification.
Missouri State License.
CCC certification.

Driver's License:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of employment.

Knowledge:
Understanding of skilled nursing home regulations, laws, and guidelines relevant to long-term care.

Key Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
