Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated professional with a collaborative mindset to take on the role of Merchandise Operations Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing company sales growth and profitability by streamlining organizational processes through precise management of item, retail, and purchase order data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SKU setup and maintenance for a designated product category, including product development and photo samples.
- Generate vendor purchase orders and oversee all related communications with vendors.
- Coordinate with vendors on purchase order modifications, ensuring timely updates with Planning teams to meet shipping schedules and inventory requirements.
- Prioritize and execute SKU and PO creation as directed by cross-functional teams.
- Ensure data integrity is maintained to support accurate sales tracking and reporting.
- Standardize processes and data elements for efficiency.
- Identify and resolve data integrity issues, escalating as necessary to business and IT stakeholders.
- Assist in onboarding new associates and facilitate cross-training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in merchandising or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google applications is advantageous.
- Results-driven with a focus on timely processing of SKU requests and adherence to service level agreements.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Proactive in identifying data issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex business requirements clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Effective and timely communication with all associates and business contacts.
- Team Collaboration: Fosters a strong sense of teamwork and demonstrates flexibility to assist others in meeting deadlines.
- Customer Service Orientation: Proven ability to deliver high-quality service and support to internal teams, planning teams, agents, and vendors.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Business Objects, Excel, Access, and Google. Capable of learning company operating systems and merchandising processes quickly.
- High proficiency in compiling and summarizing extensive data in a clear and concise manner.
