We are seeking a full-time, board-certified psychiatrist to join our team at a Community Health Center in Massachusetts. Our center has provided high-quality, affordable healthcare to children and adults of all ages for 50 years, regardless of their ability to pay.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate the physiological, neurological, psychopharmacological, and psychiatric status of clients, including referrals from age 5.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication.
- Participate in diagnostic formulations and treatment plans, as well as weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Provide direct psychotherapy when indicated.
- Participate in utilization review and quality management programs.
- Coordinate relationships with hospitals and provide general consultation to staff as needed.
- Provide oversight and consultation for Nurse Prescribers.
