Job Summary:

AdventHealth Florida is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Ocala, Florida. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy program with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Associate of Science (AS) degree.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACL, PALS, and NRP certifications within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
