Job Description

The Commissioning Engineer Team at M.C. Dean, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems by performing final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment.

As an Electrical Systems Commissioning Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting more experienced engineers in coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables, preparing and reviewing simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets, and performing routine electrical calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in review of supplier documentation for compliance with specifications
  • Use the electrical engineering website to access department guides and standards
  • Basic knowledge of commissioning, inspection, and testing of electrical components and systems
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering theories and principles
  • Basic power system familiarity with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, power panels, protection relays, UPS systems, power monitoring systems, test equipment, etc.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • 0+ years of experience in electrical systems commissioning
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
