Direct Counsel, LLC is seeking a skilled attorney with a robust background in labor and employment law, specifically in wage and hour regulations, to enhance our legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert counsel to employers regarding compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour statutes, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Facilitate negotiations to resolve wage and hour conflicts between employers and employees outside of judicial proceedings.
Represent clients in various legal settings, including administrative hearings, mediation, arbitration, and litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as before regulatory bodies.
Draft and prepare legal documents such as complaints, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, while advocating for clients during hearings and trials.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited U.S. Law School
Licensed to practice law in California
4-6 years of experience in labor and employment law.
