Job Overview: Advanced Neonatal Nursing Professional

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Neonatal Nursing Professional to join our team at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills in neonatal nursing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan care for neonatal patients, developing individualized plans that meet their unique needs.
  • Provide direct care to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in neonatal nursing.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as a resource and consultant to colleagues, sharing expertise and best practices in neonatal nursing.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing, with a focus on critical care and pediatrics.
  • RN licensed by the State of California, holding a BSN or higher degree in Nursing.
  • Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally accredited organization, such as NCC or AACN.

Estimated Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
