Senior Sourcing Strategist

About the Position

As a Senior Sourcing Strategist at CBRE, you will take the lead in managing a substantial team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and overseeing service providers for outsourced services. You will play a crucial role in assisting various clients or departments in the formulation and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Team Leadership**: Provide formal supervision to team members, overseeing their training and development. Conduct performance evaluations and offer coaching to enhance team capabilities.

2. **Operational Management**: Coordinate and manage daily team activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and facilitate cross-training among staff. Set and monitor departmental target dates.

3. **Policy Development**: Assist in the creation of comprehensive company-wide policies, procedures, and playbooks to streamline operations.

4. **Strategic Collaboration**: Work closely with the business to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies at local, regional, and global levels.

5. **Contract Management**: Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other essential business documents. Lead the processes related to contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals.

6. **Supplier Relations**: Oversee the supplier and contractor certification process, conduct periodic visits to high-profile supplier locations, and manage all cost-related aspects concerning service providers.

7. **Mentorship**: Educate and mentor team members on outsourcing practices, emphasizing the value of these strategies.

8. **Problem Solving**: Identify and resolve complex technical and operational issues, while continuously improving existing methods and processes.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Relevant certifications such as C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. are required.
- Proven experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills to enhance team effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to perform financial calculations, including percentages and fractions.
