Surgical Technologists play a vital role in providing quality patient care during surgical procedures. As a Surgical Technologist Level III at Atrium Health Charlotte, you will be responsible for maintaining a sterile field, assisting with patient preparation, and monitoring surgical supplies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain aseptic technique and its application
- Assist Registered Nurses with patient preparation, supply assembly, and specimen disposition
- Monitor and document sterilization activities
- Participate in Performance Improvement Process
- Collaborate with team members to develop policies and procedures
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist
- 5 years of operating room experience in surgical technologist role
- Ability to work lengthy hours, rotating shifts, and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals
