Senior Firmware Engineer

We are an innovation leader of products that are flexible, interoperable, and reliable. As a Senior Firmware Engineer at Astera Labs, you will be designing and developing firmware for validation and productization of CXL Memory devices and other future-looking memory technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop firmware for CXL Memory devices and other memory technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other components.
- Develop and maintain firmware documentation and technical specifications.
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve firmware performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong firmware development skills in C within embedded environments.
- Good understanding of CXL or PCIe features defined in standards and specifications.
- Experience in implementing CXL or PCIe endpoint capabilities.
- Good knowledge of PCIe enumeration, MSI, MSI-X, SR-IOV, and PCIe error handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CXL 1.1/2.0/3.0 Memory Pooling and Sharing.
- Experience in using PCIe Analyzer, familiarity with BIOS, BMC configuration.
- Good understanding of BIOS/PCIe device/OS interactions, MMIO, and RAS concepts.
- Experience in debugging customer issues related to PCIe on CPU platforms.
