Position Overview

Chief Financial Officer

  • Type: Direct Hire
  • Compensation Range: $113,000 - $132,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the formulation, continuous operation, and assessment of the organizational budget.
  • Facilitate the preparation and execution of the budget for the organization, ensuring alignment with departmental and individual school budgets, including special budgets for Federal grant initiatives.
  • Align organizational resources to achieve the established goals and objectives.
  • Supervise procurement activities in accordance with legal and policy standards.
  • Oversee the management of the accounting department and its personnel.
  • Coordinate pupil accounting processes across the organization.
  • Organize, manage, and secure funding for various capital improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and professional development related to budgeting and financial best practices.
  • Support school bookkeepers through training and resources.
  • Prepare and submit required reports related to finance, student data, and organizational operations.
  • Offer administrative support at events such as presentations, banquets, and extracurricular activities.
  • Engage in the strategic planning process of the organization.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as directed by the superintendent.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

  • Accountable for the oversight and evaluation of all personnel within the accounting department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree or certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent; or a minimum of four years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
