This position transcends traditional coding responsibilities. We require a lead engineer who is passionate about exploring new tools and methodologies to craft innovative, secure, and versatile software systems. These systems may include high-performance analytics, advanced algorithm development, manipulation of vast data sets, and real-time processing capabilities. Utilizing Agile development practices and programming languages such as C, Rust, Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, you will independently design, implement, and test significant features while collaborating with team members to deliver intricate modifications. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to devise innovative solutions that align with business requirements regarding functionality, performance, reliability, and adherence to development principles.

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development utilizing technologies such as C/C++, C#, Java, Go, Rust, or SQL/NoSQL.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software architecture.
  • Proven experience in developing applications specifically for Linux environments.
  • In-depth understanding of the Linux operating system.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 12+ years of relevant experience in software design and development, or 16+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and optimizing resilient, secure applications to meet resource constraints.
  • Leadership experience in establishing mature secure software development practices that reduce defect rates and enhance resilience against threats.
  • Familiarity with Python, JMS, JSON/XML, SOA/RESTful applications, or web technologies including Bootstrap, Angular, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON/XML, or Ajax.
  • Knowledge of Cross-Domain guard solutions such as Forcepoint High Speed Guards, OWL Data Diodes, or ISSE Guards.
  • Ability to collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and develop them for production.
  • Competence in writing and reviewing software product documentation.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
