What are we seeking in our Laboratory Technician?
Russell Tobin & Associates is representing a leading Manufacturing and Automotive firm looking for a Laboratory Technician.
This role involves the evaluation of product development for adhesive tapes and liquid formulations, as well as assessing material characteristics for various products and innovative materials.
Employment Type: Contract/Onsite
Location: Maplewood, MN
Compensation: $18- $21/hr, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Tape Evaluation: Execute peel, shear, tensile, rheology, and liner release assessments, and prepare relevant samples.
- Adhesive Evaluation: Perform dynamic shear, impact, viscosity, and modulus assessments, along with sample preparation.
- Data Documentation: Precisely document findings with all necessary details (data analysis is not required).
- Work with moderate supervision, identifying issues but seeking assistance when necessary.
- Conduct chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical analyses and tests essential for research, development, or quality assurance of products and processes.
- Assist in compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
- Ability to adhere to established procedures and work effectively within a self-directed team is essential.
- Possess good mechanical skills and experience in inspection methods and/or the product line.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related STEM discipline.
- Familiarity with Minitab, JMP, or similar data entry software.
- Experience in a laboratory or analytical environment.
