Truck Driver Job Description

As a Truck Driver at Costco Wholesale Corp., you will be responsible for:

  • Operating a tractor/trailer combination to deliver goods from depot to warehouses and depots.
  • Hauling empty trailers, pallets, and vendor loads back to depot.
  • Driving a hydraulic 5th wheel tractor in depot yard to move trailers.
  • Maintaining accurate driving and equipment records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering goods to warehouses and depots in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring the safe operation of tractor/trailer combinations and equipment.
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicating effectively with warehouse staff and other drivers.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
