Mammography Technologist Job Description

At Ellis Medicine, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammograms, needle localizations, and galactogram examinations on patients, adhering to MQSA standards.
  • Conduct quality control functions for the mammography section, ensuring compliance with MQSA standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records on radiologists, technologists, and patients, in accordance with MQSA standards.
  • Assist senior mammography technologists with record keeping and provide patient education on mammography procedures.
  • Adhere to Exposure Control Manual policies and procedures, including universal precautions, bloodborne pathogen exposure, and medical waste disposal.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology school with current ARRT registry and New York State license.
  • A.R.R.T. (M) registry or eligibility.
