Job Title: IT Agile Tester, Principal

Shentel is seeking a skilled IT Agile Tester to join our Agile Development Team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements and acceptance criteria, create and execute test cases, perform regression testing, and contribute to the advancement of agile methodologies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and execute test cases based on functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Identify test scenarios and generate detailed test scripts using industry best practices.
  • Perform regression testing of new and existing systems.
  • Communicate testing outcomes to Agile Leads and Developers.
  • Organize and facilitate user acceptance testing and documentation.
  • Document business and system requirements.
  • Participate in project discussions and scrum meetings.
  • Follow change management controls and support the team in using agile planning tools.
  • Contribute to the improvement of agile methodologies within the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Associate's/Technical Degree - two years required for the role.
  • Four Year Degree preferred in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Level:
  • 7 years of QA Testing/Software Testing experience required.
  • 7 years of Business Analysis experience required.
  • 7 years of Agile Development experience required.
  • E-commerce experience a plus with understanding of UX website design and data analytics.
  • Experience with Pega and/or Adobe Experience Manager a plus.

Job Skills & Knowledge:

  • Agile, scrum, or project management certification required.
  • ISTQB Agile Tester Certification required.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with agile planning and development tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders.
