At Special Health Resources, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Assistant Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting under the supervision of licensed physicians or advanced nurse practitioners.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Medical Assistant Certification and completion of a medical terminology course or one year of experience in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to multitask effectively.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare confidential and non-confidential correspondence in a professional style and format.
  2. Input data and documentation into electronic databases correctly and in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain effective filing systems and ensure necessary information is filed accurately and promptly.
  4. Assist direct care staff with scheduling clients and coordinating services.
  5. Conduct medication adherence education and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  6. Administer vaccinations, TB tests, and injections as ordered.
  7. Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians or advanced nurse practitioners.
  8. Update and document client charts accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school graduate or equivalent qualification.
  • A Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Completion of a medical terminology course or one year of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Punctuality and preparedness for all shifts and work-related activities.
