Job Description

Technical People is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Addison, IL.

We are looking for a candidate with at least one year of apprenticeship experience in tool & die making. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of progressive die design and construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build multistation blank-through, parting, and chop-off progressive dies for metal stamping punch presses.
  • Review CAD drawings and build detailed components of progressive dies, including die blocks, strippers, and punch plates.
  • Participate in design reviews to evaluate strip layouts and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement in-die sensor solutions to extend tooling longevity.
  • Contribute to quoting press and secondary cycle times and tooling costs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least entry-level tool & die apprenticeship experience

Compensation:

The targeted hourly base salary for this second shift position ranges from $24.00 to $39.00 per hour depending on experience.
