Job Title: Surgical Technologist Lead

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Lead to join our dedicated team.

About the Role:

The Surgical Technologist Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. This individual will be responsible for demonstrating advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the first scrub, expediting the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the surgeon, and identifying variances from expected outcomes and responding to changes in patient needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and expedites the operative procedure.
  • Identify variances from expected outcomes and respond to changes in patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Surgical Technologist registration required.
  • BLS via AHA required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT preferred.
