Location: Poway, CA
We specialize in the fabrication of aerospace and gas turbine components utilizing advanced materials. Our organization is certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, operating as a technology-driven enterprise employing cutting-edge techniques such as 5-axis milling, turning, water jet cutting, and various forms of EDM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery for the processing of metallic materials.
- Manage tool life effectively.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Conduct inspections on initial, in-process, and final pieces using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Identify and resolve equipment or tooling issues.
- Execute basic de-burring or rework tasks on work in progress.
- Propose enhancements to optimize assigned processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily situated in a production area.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:
- This position involves a mix of sedentary tasks and physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Engage in reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to handle materials and tools.
Position Type:
This is a full-time, non-exempt role. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 2:15pm - 10:45pm, with potential for additional hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace and Defense CNC machining.
- Experience in tool life management is essential.
- Familiarity with safety and quality systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
- Proficient in basic mathematics relevant to machining.
- Experience with G and M codes is required.
- Prior experience with 3-axis machine setup and operation is necessary.
- Understanding of CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) reports is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a permanent, non-exempt (hourly), full-time position. The hourly pay range for this role is $20 - $30 per hour, depending on experience, plus a 10% differential for second shift.
