Job Summary:

The Cleveland Institute of Music is seeking a highly skilled Ensemble Musician Assistant to support our Academy Ensembles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for rehearsing, performing, and assisting with Academy Ensembles as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rehearse and perform with groups in rehearsals and performances, demonstrating a strong commitment to the ensemble's schedule.
  • Lead by example, guiding students in learning music and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with sectional rehearsals and coaching, as needed, to ensure the ensemble's success.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide exceptional support to students and the ensemble.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional musicianship and in-depth knowledge of instrumental and chamber repertoire.
  • Experience playing in chamber groups and a strong understanding of ensemble dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with students, families, teachers, and faculty to achieve positive learning outcomes.
  • Ability to complete a background check prior to working with students.
