Job Summary: We're seeking a skilled Optical Customer Experience Specialist to deliver exceptional value to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will ensure all patients receive the highest quality optometric care while meeting our key performance indicators.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers promptly and answering phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services in a clear and concise manner.
  • Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and taking appropriate action.
  • Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients, resolving situations effectively.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly, maintaining a high level of productivity despite time pressure and customer volume.
  • Identify and resolve situations involving unsatisfied customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Handle and file patient records, place contact lens orders, and process shipments efficiently.
  • Operate the POS system terminal, collecting proper payment and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, responding to changes in store promotions and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond effectively.
  • Problem-solving ability, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Organization skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Sales skills, with a focus on building relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Strong basic math skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, colleagues, and management.
