About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret medical orders for ultrasound exams and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position and transfer patients safely and efficiently.
  • Select and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images.
  • Provide patient protection in accordance with safety standards.
  • Assist physicians in interventional procedures and administer medications as needed.
  • Perform routine and special imaging techniques, including ultrasound and other modalities.
  • Operate computerized radiology information systems and office equipment.
  • Assist in all areas of radiology as needed, including weekend and evening shifts.
  • Function as a cooperative team member and report incidents to the Section Manager.
  • Work in specialized areas as needed and participate in on-call responsibilities.
  • Recommend equipment procurement and maintenance.
  • Maintain current CPR certification and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Stay current with credentialing agency required continuing education.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Acquired experience and capability in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Education: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography with registry in at least one advanced modality or satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training and current ARRT Registry.
  • Certifications: ARDMS and current CPR certification.
