Your Role as Project Director

In the capacity of Project Director, you will be stationed at the construction site, serving as the primary liaison for the owner, design team, and project personnel. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the successful and timely execution of design-build projects, which can range in value from $60 million to over $250 million. At Clayco, you will collaborate with marketing, pre-construction services, and business unit leaders while mentoring Project Managers and Engineers, taking overall responsibility for project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to establish and manage design schedules.
  • Set project forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects (over $100 million), preferably in design-build.
  • Proven expertise in construction principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience in leading a successful project management team.
  • Physical capability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and scaling multi-floor scaffolding.
  • Able to lift objects weighing at least 50 lbs.
