The Switchgear Specialist will play a critical role in supporting our customers, sales teams, and construction sales by providing expert assistance in switchgear design and quotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers and Account Managers on switchgear-related matters.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to close switchgear opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Mentor and train sales teams on switchgear requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed switchgear job quotes and individual quotes.
  • Identify and recommend project vendors and reps as needed.
  • Review and input formal quotes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop pricing strategies and negotiate with vendors.
  • Manage the department's quotation log and project completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Offer technical support and answer switchgear inquiries from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in product meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Analyze switchgear quotations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred or high school diploma with 2 years of related experience in electrical systems or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear products, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in mathematical calculations and able to analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license, with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to vendor guidelines and ethics codes.
