At Family Fare, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative solutions. As a Department Manager Meat, you'll play a vital role in leading our meat department operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily activities, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory levels, utilizing inventory control procedures to maintain product freshness and quality.
- Review and validate received orders, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
- Lead a team in completing stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Maintain product knowledge, including advertised items, special prices, and sales promotions.
- Implement and maintain work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Attend and participate in daily huddles, manager meetings, and district/company-level meetings.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED).
- Two years of retail experience preferred.
- One-year supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
