Speech and Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Zen Educate. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will work with students eligible for special education services, delivering universal, targeted, and intensive interventions as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and administer evidence-based interventions for students suspected of having speech language impairments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to devise Individual Education Programs (IEPs) that incorporate differentiated, innovative instruction aligned with the Guaranteed Viable Curriculum (GVCs) to foster academic progress, positive social interactions, functional communication, and conducive learning behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of every treatment/session delivered to students, documenting information into either the current IEP system and/or current Medicaid system.
  • Perform certain duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems, and supporting certain extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
  • Responsible for managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Utilize technology and integrate the use of technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Document health-related services in the Designated Medicaid documentation system for the School Medicaid Reimbursement Program.
  • Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Special Service Provider License - School Speech Language Pathologist - Colorado Department of Education
  • Pass a background check before the hiring date
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
