Marriage and Family Therapist

We are seeking a Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team at AdeIphi Medical Staffing. This is a long-term contract position at the ISUDT facility in Avenal, California.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide services as a Marriage and Family Therapist, adhering to facility policies and under the supervision of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker or their designee. The therapist will perform assessments and provide clinical interventions, including counseling (group and individual).

Responsibilities:

• Provide mental health services to patients, including assessments, interventions, and counseling.
• Collaborate with other professionals to contribute to care planning and coordinate interdisciplinary care.
• Assist in transitional care planning, connecting patients with community resources upon release.
• Deliver intervention, education, and counseling services in marriage, couples, family, and individual contexts.
• Administer Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders.
• Conduct assessments for patients preparing for release.
• Offer education and counseling to develop life skills and address Substance Use Disorder-related issues.
• Document and assess patient progress in programs.

Requirements:

• Valid and active California Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
• At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
• Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary of $63,000 per year, based on a 27-week contract. The schedule is Tuesday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, and the rate is $630/10 hours.
