About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Materials Development Engineer to join our team at Camfil USA Air Filtration Company. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for driving development and qualification projects for new media development projects, enhancing adhesive formulations, and leading various material-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research activities for adhesives, filter media, and materials development projects, from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and evaluate new materials for integration into existing or future projects.
  • Travel to suppliers and Camfil facilities to conduct material and process trials.
  • Work closely with supply chain managers to evaluate new suppliers and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of Camfil's intellectual property portfolio.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience.
  • Proven experience in materials research, particularly in the development of adhesives.
  • Proficiency in laboratory equipment and analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of polymer chemistry, surface science, and material characterization methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
