At SAM, we're committed to advancing spatial data acquisition and improving analysis capabilities. As a Geomatics Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting our office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.

You'll report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor.
  • Monitoring field crew's production and quality assurance.
  • Preparing survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings.
  • Performing quality control checks of plats, drawings and deliverables prepared by other technicians.

To succeed in this role, you'll need 5+ years of field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing. Strong computer and technical skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, are required. Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus.
