Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Brighton, MA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and report patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in patient condition
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years critical care nursing experience preferred
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
Work Environment:

The RN works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials. Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.

Physical Standards of Job Description:
  • Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity
  • Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
  • Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
  • Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity

Physical demands include walking, standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, balance, pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks by weight.
