Senior Bookseller

Job Summary:

As a Senior Bookseller at Barnes & Noble, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and passion for books to create a vibrant and curated bookstore experience. You will support new booksellers through mentorship and guidance, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge about books and our exceptional customer service standards.

You will deliver an engaging experience for our customers by building rapport, demonstrating a friendly demeanor, and providing genuine assistance in finding the perfect book, gift, or beverage. You will also work collaboratively with the cluster structure to ensure the betterment of all stores in the cluster.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the store is always neat and tidy, creating a shoppable and inviting environment.
• Mentor and teach new employees, helping them to acclimate to bookselling.
• Model expected behaviors to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets by adhering to inventory and loss prevention standards.
• Work on the selling floor, which requires physical activity.
