Position Overview
The Inspector General's Office is in search of a proficient and seasoned Information Technology Specialist III to take on the role of Software Architect within the Development Team of the Information Technology Unit (ITU). This pivotal position involves engaging in various activities that support the identification, evaluation, architecture, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive software solutions for the organization. The Software Architect will serve as both a technical leader and a solutions architect, tasked with defining, designing, developing, documenting, coordinating, and integrating the software products managed by the ITU. The incumbent will implement IT solutions that align with the organization's business goals and will be responsible for software architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems and infrastructure, including user research and user-centric design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in activities that support the discovery, assessment, architecture, implementation, and delivery of enterprise software solutions.
- Serve as a technical lead and software applications architect, responsible for defining, designing, developing, testing, deploying, documenting, coordinating, and integrating software and data services managed by the ITU.
- Implement IT solutions that meet the organization's business objectives.
- Perform duties related to software architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems, including user research and user-centric design.
Special Requirements:
- A Background Investigation must be cleared prior to hiring.
