We are seeking a skilled Entertainment Anchor to join our team at NBCUniversal. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that resonates with our audience.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Pitch Story Ideas: Create and present innovative story ideas that capture the attention of our viewers.
- Provide Insightful Commentary: Offer expert analysis on the latest entertainment trends, events, and developments.
- Write and Edit Content: Craft and refine stories, headlines, and news updates for television, online, and multi-platform distribution.
- Research and Curate Content: Identify and present compelling entertainment stories that resonate with our audience.
- Collaborate with News Producers: Work with producers to develop and refine story ideas and content.
- Present Completed Stories: Deliver engaging and informative content to our audience.
- Coordinate and Conduct Interviews: Arrange and conduct interviews with industry professionals and experts.
- Manage Social Media: Oversee and maintain our social media presence.
- Multitask and Prioritize Tasks: Effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Language Proficiency: English/Spanish proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as an anchor, with live television experience preferred.
- Production Experience: Experience shooting and producing in the field.
- Location: Ability to work in Houston, Texas.
- Travel and Overtime: Willingness to travel and work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- Shift Flexibility: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Work Authorization: Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
