Culinary Leadership Opportunity

Campus Auxiliary Services at SUNY Geneseo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing menus, managing food production, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our diverse customer base
  • Manage food production, including ordering, inventory, and labor management
  • Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service and food quality
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor expenses, and inventory levels to ensure profitability
Requirements:
  • 2-year degree in culinary arts or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a large-scale dining venue, with a proven track record of leadership and menu development
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
