We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System. As a Licensed Independent Provider, you will practice autonomously and in coordination with health care professionals and other individuals to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a wide range of health care services, including diagnosis and management of acute, chronic, and complex health problems, health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling to individuals, families, groups, and communities.
- Obtain and evaluate medical histories, perform physical examinations, perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and order laboratory studies, radiographs, electrocardiograms, and other special examinations.
- Make arrangements for further care if appropriate and serve as a consultant to other providers.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of staff, including trainees, and a multidisciplinary staff in a fast-paced educational and collegial environment.
- Active, current, full and unrestricted APN license to practice as a NP in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must possess and maintain full and current board certification as a NP in Family.
- Experience in a primary-care setting is preferred.
