Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care
    • Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality customer service and address any patient needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, reflecting their physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
    • Assess patient conditions, set goals, and prescribe nursing actions to meet those goals and address patient needs.
    • Identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond accordingly, contacting responsible clinicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team Members
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
  • Document Patient Information
    • Accurately and concisely record patient observations, reactions, and interventions.
    • Complete incident reports and submit them promptly.
  • Education and Discharge Planning
    • Begin discharge planning as early as possible, educating patients and families on identified needs to optimize understanding.
    • Evaluate and document patient progress according to standard operating procedure.
  • Leadership and Delegation
    • Assign or delegate nursing interventions to other qualified individuals, ensuring safe and effective care.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet departmental or organizational needs.
Requirements
  • Certifications
    • Registered Nurse licensure in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement.
    • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
  • Notes
    • Temporary RN licensure accepted prior to start date.
    • ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start date.
    • Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start date.
Physical and Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling/finger/feel activities. The ideal candidate will be able to lift, carry, push, and pull medium-weight objects. The work environment is primarily indoor, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures not applicable to this role.

Driving Requirements

This position is classified as an Infrequent Driver, with occasional driving requirements not exceeding once per week.
