Position Overview

The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial records, budgeting, cash flow oversight, and investor communication. Work Environment
Cedar Pine embraces a hybrid work model, requiring team members to be on-site three days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP and generate internal reports as well as ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
  • Oversee investor documentation, allocation schedules, and reporting processes.
  • Implement controls for cash transactions, including wire transfers.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, expense reporting, and bookkeeping for funds.
  • Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including lending and property management, to collect and report pertinent financial data to support strategic decisions.
  • Assist in the reporting for family office activities and maintain special purpose entities.
  • Analyze cash flow and budgeting, evaluating all assets, income, expected expenses, and liabilities for entities under family office management.
  • Provide insights on the financial status and liquidity of specific entities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; a Master's degree and/or CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate accounting or a related field, with a preference for commercial real estate experience.
  • Solid understanding of commercial real estate principles, including leases and lease accounting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration across the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with partnership accounting and relevant tax documentation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
