Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical setting.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
- IV competency and ability to work with a variety of medical equipment.
- Preferred: Charge experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed hospital located in [City, State]. Our Medical Surgical unit is a 18-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6. We use a variety of medical equipment, including Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps. Our electronic health record system is Cerner.
