About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychology Services Chief to join our team at the State of Maryland. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating psychology services within our correctional institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all psychology activities of the mental health program within the State of Maryland
  • Collect and review institutional monthly statistical reports to determine the status of the mental health program activities
  • Oversee peer reviews and/or audits of performance of mental health personnel
  • Consult with other program directors and managers on policies, plans, and goals of the mental health program
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders regarding ongoing litigation
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Director and/or Deputy of Mental Health
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D, Psy.D) in Psychology
  • One year of experience working within a correctional mental health department
  • Licensed as a Psychologist by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
