The Construction Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Construction Project Manager I and will be accountable for the organization, leadership, and coordination of construction tasks. The position demands strict adherence to safety, procedural, and environmental standards throughout all stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee work protocols, project scheduling, budget management, and compliance with project specifications, while ensuring adequate workforce levels and the implementation of safety measures.
  • Direct the construction elements of assigned projects through daily management of field operations, ensuring all site activities are executed efficiently.
  • Guarantee that fieldwork is completed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding all construction-related field activities.
  • Ensure that all construction adheres to design specifications, is completed within set timelines, stays within budget, meets financial reporting standards, and is executed to high-quality benchmarks.
  • Function as a Project Manager for direct-hire construction projects or as the field manager for engineering/procurement/construction management initiatives.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects or construction tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Establish field objectives and procedures aligned with company standards based on job site conditions.
  • Monitor completed work to ensure it meets desired outcomes.
  • Travel may be required for this position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid State driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, varying hours, and/or rotating shifts is essential.
  • Ability to work in an industrial setting, particularly near a munitions demilitarization facility.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a naturalized citizen eligible for site access.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary government security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and project management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and job site management is essential.
  • This position represents a journey level and the initial stage of Construction Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in using computer-based systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Ability to create reports, procedures, and written instructions is necessary.
  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards and be able to respond to emergency situations.
  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness while performing safety-sensitive duties.
