Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a faculty member in veterinary ophthalmology at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to pre-clinical and clinical teaching in the DVM program, mentoring residents, engaging in research and scholarly activity, and providing ophthalmology support in our fully equipped teaching hospitals.

About the Position

This is a full-time faculty appointment on the continuous term (tenure-equivalent) track, with a strong emphasis on clinical activity and teaching. The ideal candidate will have a DVM degree or its equivalent, completion of an American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) residency, and demonstrated interest and aptitude in teaching. Board certification is required at, or no later than two-years following, the date of hire.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to pre-clinical and clinical teaching in the DVM program
  • Mentor residents and engage in research and scholarly activity
  • Provide ophthalmology support in our fully equipped teaching hospitals
  • Assist with specialty board review sessions, journal club, and other aspects of resident training
Requirements

Requirements include a DVM degree or its equivalent, completion of an ACVO residency, and demonstrated interest and aptitude in teaching. Preference will be given to individuals who are already ACVO board certified.
