Election Technician Job Description

Join the Hidalgo Co. team as an Election Technician, supporting the logistical activities for obtaining and equipping voting equipment and supplies. Ensure polling sites comply with ADA and HAVA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing reports and checklists for elections
  • Attend specialized elections trainings to stay current with election laws and procedures
  • Coordinate activities with polling place management to ensure ADA compliance
  • Test and maintain voting equipment and supplies
  • Aid in inventory management and ordering warehouse supplies
  • Assist in document retention and destruction of election records
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Ability to learn extensive election laws and federal procedures
  • Registered voter of Hidalgo County
