Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator at Golden Waffles is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products from our manufacturing facility to various warehouses for distribution. This role requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Logistics Coordinator ensures that deliveries are made on time and that all products are handled with care to maintain their quality.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport products from the manufacturing facility to designated warehouses.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as provided by the Logistics Manager, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other essential functions. Report any issues or needed repairs to the Safety & Transportation Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and any discrepancies encountered. Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Ensure all required licenses and certifications are up to date.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in a logistics or distribution environment.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- The ability to bend, lift (up to 60 lbs.), climb, stretch, reach, and walk throughout the day.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and a strong safety record.
- The ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to handle physical demands, including loading and unloading products and extended periods of driving.
- The ability to operate a forklift safely with training.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.
