Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to provide sales assistance for the expanding distributor network and end users in the Northeast United States. The Technical Sales Representative will facilitate both commercial and technical initiatives for our distributors, sub-distributors, OEMs, and established end users, while also driving further sales and revenue growth.


Sales Support for Distributors and Clients:
  • Enhance sales through the identification and development of new end users for Accoya in critical applications such as decking, cladding, windows, and doors.
  • Assist distributor sales managers in market expansion, focusing on collaborative efforts and joint client visits.
  • Develop and execute specification sales through direct engagement with architects and engineers.
  • Build relationships with system partners (e.g., coating manufacturers) to ensure they have the necessary specification sheets for Accoya, facilitating easier adoption and sales processes for distributor sales managers.
  • Create training and promotional materials and presentations in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Regularly conduct training programs for distributors.

Experience Requirements:
  • Proven success in sales and technical leadership within the high-performance wood or construction-related product sectors.
  • Excellent communication and networking abilities.
  • Proficient in Office 365, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Dependable, diligent, and hands-on approach. Motivated, collaborative, and innovative in addressing challenges and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering engagement from market stakeholders, such as distributors and system partners.

  • Experienced user of CRM systems.
  • Consistent follow-through and effective communication.
  • Strong work ethic and hands-on mentality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Material Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a nationally distributed sales environment, including leadership roles.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently on collaboratively defined activity goals.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve climbing ladders, navigating stairs, scaffolding, and ramps, as well as moving in various positions to complete tasks in diverse environments, including confined spaces. The position requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, lift or carry objects up to 25 pounds, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Effective communication with others is essential, as is the ability to operate machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles. The role may be performed in varying temperatures and conditions.
