Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meal preparation and presentation, ensuring that our residents enjoy nutritious and delicious food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dietary Supervisor in the preparation and service of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes as directed.
  • Craft soups, sauces, salads, and desserts following established recipes and standards.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to address any food service issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory and utilize leftovers effectively to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the service area and kitchen as per schedule.
  • Engage with residents to foster relationships and understand their dining preferences.
  • Exhibit professionalism and a strong customer service attitude with residents and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in food service is preferred.
  • Training in culinary techniques or relevant experience in senior care is advantageous.
  • A genuine compassion for senior residents is essential.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
