HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist Lead to join our laboratory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering an environment of teamwork, quality, and safety for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve departmental specific problems and complaints from physicians, patients, and nursing staff.
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing in all designated areas and review daily reports.
  • Ensure major automated equipment is operational by performing required maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels for the assigned section and/or department.
  • Participate in bi-annual CAP inspections and communicate issues concerning the functioning of the laboratory to Laboratory Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
  • ASCP certification required.
  • Three years of clinical Medical Technologist experience.
